Inalis din niya si Maaca na kanyang ina sa pagiging inang reyna, sapagkat gumawa ito ng isang karumal-dumal na imahen para sa Ashera; at pinutol ni Asa ang kanyang karumal-dumal na imahen at sinunog ito sa batis ng Kidron.
